Life-changing events: checking in

It’s been a while since I wrote here and since I uploaded a video.  This is a quick video to tell you about some life-changing events that have been going on and that I’m still here and thriving.  Life has been hectic and always is.

Technology letting me down

My computer is getting very old and crashes often, especially when I run iMovie to edit my videos.

My beloved iPhone 5S got wet and could not be resuscitated.  Being without a phone for three days is interesting.  I rarely make calls on my phone but do a lot of other things – photography, filming, texting, banking, paying bills, keeping up with social networks such as Facebook.  I took a few photos on my iPad 2 but the camera on that isn’t great.

Now I have a new phone – the Apple iPhone 6S.  Slightly larger in the hand, with a better camera and so much storage I am not sure what to do with it.

Peaches, nectarine, strawberries

Today I’m off to Harmony College, an annual event run by the British Association of Barbershop Singers.  It’s educational, sociable and fun.

I’m (almost) British!

Finally my application to be a British citizen has been approved.  I just need to attend the ceremony, make an affirmation and collect my certificate.  Then I will get my British passport and still retain my Australian one.

Life-changing Food

Another big life change for me this year – I’m now a raw vegan.  This is absolutely wonderful and I’m so happy to be finally eating the way we evolved to eat.

Watch the video above and leave a comment.

Have you had to manage without a phone for a few days?  Do you have a separate camera?  What big life-changing things have happened to you in the last year?
